The Board of Trustees at Briar Cliff University have announced the addition of two new members: Sister Dr. Kate Katoski and Steve Stouffer.
Katoski serves as the Director of Development for the Sisters of St. Francis of Dubuque, having been employed with the Sisters of St. Francis for the last 30 years. She also worked for the National Pastor Life Center in New York City, along with serving at the Archdiocese in Dubuque and the Diocese in Sioux City. Katoski is an alumna from Briar Cliff, obtaining her bachelor’s degree in 1969 and thereafter served as registrar and director of media at the institution. Katoski holds a master’s degree in theological studies from the Catholic Theological Union, in Chicago, Illinois, and a Doctor of Ministry from University of St. Mary of the Lake, in Mundelein, Illinois.
Stouffer previously served as the President of Tyson Fresh Meats from 2013-2022 until his retirement in March. He spent nearly 40 years in the meat packing industry with various roles, including sales, commodity pricing, margin optimization, strategic planning, and various other leadership roles. Stouffer is also a member of the board of directors and executive board at the Boys and Girls Home. He has served on the board of directors for the Siouxland Chamber of Commerce and as a lay leader at St. Paul United Methodist Church.
