Briar Cliff University is celebrating our Catholic Franciscan value of Reverencing Creation! Throughout the school year, students have learned about the importance of caring for the environment through their Franciscan Way of Life courses, volunteer work and experiential learning trips abroad.
We invite you to help us reverence creation! Over the past several years, the campus trees were affected by climate change and tree disease, resulting in 30 dead trees. The work of removing the dead trees is complete and now our plan calls for planting 100 new tree and plantings by our 100th anniversary in 2030. Also included in the plan is to update the historical stairs on the south side of campus which were used by our founding Sisters of St. Francis to ascend to the top of the cliff while Briar Cliff’s Heelan Hall was under construction so many years ago.
Celebrate your time at Briar Cliff University by making a gift to plant several trees.
