Briar Cliff University Announces New Emerita Faculty

(Sioux City, Iowa – April 11, 2024) Briar Cliff University Board of Trustees approved professor Dr. Judy Thompson as professor emerita.

Dr. Thompson earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Lake Forest College in Illinois, her Master of Business Administration from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, and her Doctorate in Educational Administration, Adult and Higher Education from the University of South Dakota. Professor Thompson’s collegiate instructional career began at Briar Cliff as an adjunct instructor in 1980, and she retired as a full-time professor in Business Administration in 2021. In 2014, Dr. Thompson was awarded the Paul and Frances Duff Pursuit of Excellence Award.
