Briar Cliff University is pleased to announce the new executive board for student government (BCSG).

Senior Catherine Leonard has been newly elected as president by the student body. Her goal is to increase representation from all corners of campus and beyond as well as improve communication from BCSG to the rest of the student population.

“I feel incredibly blessed to be representing such an awesome student body at Briar Cliff,” Leonard says. “I am so excited to learn and grow as a leader in this new position.”

In addition, junior Lydia Forsberg was elected Vice President. Other members of the executive board include incumbent treasurer Matthew Wilke, secretary Mya Hendry and the new position of marketing chair RJ Harris.

“The previous executive board was phenomenal and are leaving big shoes to fill,” Leonard says. “We are very excited to get started and know we have support from the previous e-board. I can’t think of a better group of people to represent Briar Cliff.”

BCSG is the voice and political force for Briar Cliff’s student body. Its major function is to keep an open line of communication between students, faculty and administrators.
