Briar Cliff University Set to Lay Down Artificial Turf on Faber Field

Briar Cliff University is set to lay down artificial turf at Faber Field located on campus. Faber Field is currently home to Charger men’s and women’s soccer teams. The project is set to start in May with the anticipation that it will be ready to host practices and home games this upcoming fall. 

“We are very appreciative of the community’s support and encouragement in the process of enhancing Faber Field,” said Dr. Patrick Jacobson-Schulte, President of Briar Cliff University. “Our students and our community deserve to have the best experience in all facets of their journey here at The Cliff.”

Through partnerships and donations, Briar Cliff University has secured the funds to turf the field, which will be equipped to support soccer and football in the future. Mammoth Sports Construction will be completing the project.

“It’s an exciting opportunity to share another opportunity to support the Charger student-life experience,” said Kelly Boe, Interim Executive Athletic Director at Briar Cliff. “Enhancing this facility will support our current and future student-athletes and give them more access to training and competition space.”

To kick off the addition of football on Faber Field, the Spring Game will be hosted on the site on Saturday, April 29, 2023.
