Briar Cliff University Names Homecoming King and Queen

Briar Cliff University announced Davess Verdugo and Grace Johanson as Homecoming King and Queen.

Verdugo, a native of La Habra Heights, California, is majoring in accounting, business administration, and finance. Verdugo is the President of Enactus, Vice President of Finance and Accounting Club, member of FCA, Briar Cliff Student Government, and a Resident Assistant.

Johanson, a native of Falndreau, South Dakota, is majoring in exercise physiology. She is a member of Catholic Daughters, Lead Team, Health and Science Club, Resident Assistant, and involved with Campus Ministry. Upon graduation, she intends to work at nearby Bishop Heelan and go to OT school.

This year’s homecoming court included: Lakey Martin of Waterloo, IA; Sami Wasmund of Galena, IL; Jamison Helmers of Okoboji, IA; Jaice Johnsen, of Logan, IA; Brett Tinker of Pierce, NE; Kate Kofmehl of Holstein, IA; Aaron Okoro of Long Beach, CA; and Kennedy Benne of Oakland, NE.
