Briar Cliff University Future Interim President Earns Doctorate

Patrick Jacobson-Schulte, Executive Vice President and future Interim President of Briar Cliff University, received a Doctorate in Business Administration from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. He successfully defended his dissertation on Friday, April 22, 2022. His research explored the relationship of university program cost efficiency management and program enrollment for Minnesota State College and Universities system from 2014-2019.
“We are incredibly excited and proud of Dr. Jacobson-Schulte for meeting this educational milestone and goal,” shares Mark Ward (’02), chair of Briar Cliff University Board of Trustees. “This accomplishment embodies our values of being inspired by faith and a commitment to be a lifelong learner – values we know Dr. Jacobson-Schulte himself exemplifies and encourages.”
Originally from central Minnesota, Jacobson-Schulte has diverse experience in finance and administration within educational institutions. He received his Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude, Economics and Master of Business Administration from St. Cloud State University.
Jacobson-Schulte will receive his doctoral degree at the Saint Mary’s University Commencement Ceremony on June 4, 2022.
