Briar Cliff Announces Director of Information Technologies

Briar Cliff University welcomes Yeong Wen as the new Director of Information Technologies. Wen will supervise daily operating functions, including managing information technology resources for academic and administrative needs.

“We are very excited to have Wen join us at Briar Cliff,” said Interim Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs, Candace Chihak. “Wen has a lot of experience in information technology, and we look forward to his leadership.”

Wen has 28 years of experience in strategic and tactical planning, development, evaluation, acquisition, and coordination of information and technology systems.

Before joining Briar Cliff, Wen was the Co-founder and Consultant for Alpine Technology Groups based in Kansas City, Kansas. He provided service to clients in improving their IT security, disaster recovery, enterprise application development, business intelligence, and project management.

Wen graduated with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in economics with a minor in management of info systems from Soochow University, followed by a Master of Science in economics. He also received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
