Kevin McCormick

The Franciscan values embraced by Briar Cliff rang true for Kevin McCormick, who has made a career out of helping people. He's an officer in the Sioux City Police Department. 

"As it turns out, Saint Francis was really on to something when he spread God's word of the importance of helping others," says Kevin. "My experience at Briar Cliff afforded me the courage to take those values with me and spread them into the hearts and minds in others through my daily contacts."

Kevin enrolled at Briar Cliff as a non-traditional, daytime adult student, and graduated in 2012 with a major in criminal justice. He recently received certification from the Iowa Law Enforcement Program, and considers his Briar Cliff degree "as a stepping stone in a lifelong pursuit of education and learning."

It turns out Saint Francis was really on to something when he spread God's word of the importance of helping others.
