The finance program prepares graduates to plan, manage, and analyze the financial aspects and performance of business enterprises, banking institutions, and financial planning. It includes instruction in principles of accounting, financial instruments, capital planning, funds acquisition, asset and debt management, budgeting, financial analysis, and investments and portfolio management.  

The program is particularly well suited for careers in corporate finance, international finance, new venture financing, investment research and portfolio management, banking, financial consulting, or business financial planning. In addition, a major in Finance is an excellent option for students interested in pursuing an MBA, a CPA certification, or a law degree.

The sports management program will teach you how to make a living in the business side of the sports world. Students will become experts in sports promotion, sales, facilities and the other fundamental concepts of operating an athletic organization. This program provides the generalist background needed for a variety of careers in sport management and a solid foundation for post graduate work and undertakings.

You may already be a sports nut, but to be successful in this program, you'll also need to be a fan of finance, health, marketing and law, particularly as they relate to the sporting world. This is a business degree that will teach you how to negotiate contracts, create a budget, practice public relations and study the legal issues surrounding athletics.
