Declare a Major or Minor

A Declaration of Major allows the student to communicate with the Registrar their desire to major in a particular discipline. Upon receipt of the Declaration of Major, the Registrar will update the student’s academic program in the student’s permanent academic record. Once the student’s declaration is processed his/her advisor will be able to process degree evaluations from the university system for advising students on necessary course work for degree completion. Declaration of majors should be completed in the student’s second semester of enrollment at Briar Cliff University.
