Future Educators Summit to be held at Briar Cliff University

The Education Department at Briar Cliff University is proud to present the second annual Future Educators Summit from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Friday, October 8 in the St. Francis Center on the university’s campus. 

Over 100 area high school students will have the opportunity to learn more about Briar Cliff’s distinguished education program by interacting with education majors and faculty. 

The 2020 Iowa Teacher of the Year, George Anderson, and Sioux City Teacher of the Year, Todd Siefker, will give a keynote address. Anderson currently teaches high school social studies in the Cedar Rapids Community School District. Siefker currently teaches and coaches at his alma mater West High School. 

This event is open to high school juniors and seniors as well as local colleges.
