Dr. Liewer has served as an emergency physician in Siouxland since 1995 and was the 2022 recipient of the Dr. George G. Spellman Annual Service Award by MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center Foundation. He has served as the Medical Staff President at MercyOne Siouxland and on the Board of Trustees of Briar Cliff University.
Sheila worked at the University of Nebraska Medical Center Research Lab after graduation and then has been blessed to devote her time and talent to her children.
The Liewers have five children: Sarah, Samuel, Emma, Jacob, and Isaac and are grateful that they all have been able to receive an education at catholic schools. They enjoy spending time with family and being outdoors. They are described as humble, dedicated, patient, compassionate, respectful, and giving.
