Briar Cliff Sponsors Social Work Career Day

April 5, 2022

The Briar Cliff Social Work Department is hosting Social Work Career Day: The Foundation of Helping and Change starting at 9 a.m. on April 8 on the university’s campus.

High school students looking to make a difference in their communities are invited to explore the ins and outs of what it takes to be a social worker. The schedule includes breakout sessions with local social works currently employed in different areas, a student panel, a tour of campus, and more.

The social work program at Briar Cliff has been accredited since 1974. With 3 concentrations available, students receive hands-on experience with opportunities for international travel, local service work and networking building skills.

This event is free and open to any high school student in the greater Siouxland area. Lunch is provided.
