The organization was created to develop a relational bridge between Siouxland and Tanzania by addressing the priorities of spiritual growth, medical care and educational opportunities.

The panel includes co-founder Dana Meyer, social work professor Melanie Berte-Hickey, and Briar Cliff students Jessica Guzman, Aedan Hickey and Karina Manriquez.

The Prairie Fire Lecture Series in an annual lecture sponsored by the Professional Development Committee at Briar Cliff University. Every year, the presentation aims to increase awareness of an up and coming project that takes place in the Siouxland Community. This event is free and open to the public.
