Tony Kollasch
Tony Kollasch ('19) competed against 30 other undergraduates to receive the "Outstanding Undergraduate Student Oral Presentation" award from the American College of Sports Medicine. In addition to winning this award, Tony was accepted into the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the University of Iowa, which he will start this summer.
Tony comes from the small town of Whittemore, IA, where he graduated from Bishop Garrigan High School before deciding to pursue a biology and kinesiology and human performance degree at Briar Cliff.
"Academically, I felt that the programs that I was interested in would provide a strong foundation for pursuing a career in physical therapy. Coming from a small school, I liked the small class sizes and getting the chance to build a relationship with my teachers. Furthermore, I was drawn in by the sense of community that I felt on campus," says Tony.
