Mya Hendry is a Biochemistry major with a minor in Psychology. While at BCU, Mya has been an active part of the Briar Cliff Student Government as well as participating in the Women's Basketball program. She has also been a part of the Navigate pilot program which helps students to reflect on some of life’s biggest questions.
“Navigate to me is a great opportunity to connect with yourself and your peers. During our college years, we are trying to understand and figure out what we want to do in life. We try to find our career through our classes, sports, and activities on campus. However, often we don’t take the time to decide who we want to be in our lives and what our greater purpose is besides our careers. Navigate allowed me to dig deeper into myself and my aspirations for what kind of person I want to be. Throughout the sessions we had, I learned about my strengths and, more importantly, my weaknesses. I also starting building on how I can use these attributes to influence the people around me in a positive way. The best part about this program is that I wasn’t doing this alone. I grew closer with my peers through their support. I would recommend the Navigate program to any and every one that is searching to break the surface of what their purpose is.”
