Alumni Testimonial - Angelica Mercado

Angelica Mercado

"I've always known I wanted to help people, but didn't know how until recently, when a group of us went to Kansas City and saw art being used as a therapeutic medium for children with mental illness. Now, I'm thinking about being a museum curator or an art therapist because I've seen how art can change people's lives!"

I love art! I do all sorts of media but focus most on sculpture. I came to Briar Cliff double majoring in political science, but I changed to art and writing

There are so many ways to build your portfolio here. You can get involved with The Briar Cliff Review as a writing student; or have your own exhibit shown in The Clausen Art Gallery as an art student.
