Instructor or Assistant Professor of Computer Science
Briar Cliff University of Iowa, an institution committed to higher education within a liberal arts and Catholic perspective, seeks applications for a nine-month, tenure-track, Instructor or Assistant Professor of Education to start in the Fall of 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
• Instruct on-campus courses
• Student advising
• Attend department and university meetings and activities
• Manage the university’s LMS for assigned courses
• Meet with prospective students
• Participate in the university’s New Faculty Onboarding Program.
• Maintain information for program assessment
• Work with community internship partners
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in computer science or closely related field
• Preference will be given to candidates with expertise or experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning
High value is placed on a team player who brings a variety of teaching interests and demonstrates knowledge of innovative learning technologies and program delivery, along with a willingness to develop online courses and continuously update course and program materials to ensure the program meets industry standards and expectations.
