Newman Flanagan Center

The Newman Flanagan Center is the gameday home of Briar Cliff volleyball, basketball, and wrestling. This $2 million, 39,000 square-foot facility named after Monsignor Newman Flanagan was built, quite literally, into “The Cliff” in 1982. The building lies 80% underground and has a variety of uses.

The center features Ray Nacke Court, which is two full-sized college basketball courts that can easily be converted into two regulation volleyball courts. The NFC also has a jogging track, locker rooms, a classroom, athletic offices, an athletic training room, and a concession area.

Recent renovations included the addition of the Telco Triad Courtside Club, new bleachers, the Hall of Fame reception room with a virtual trophy case, the Primebank Clifftop Suite, and other branding upgrades.

The NFC houses a number of athletic offices, including the Charger athletics administration team as well as the basketball, volleyball, and men’s soccer staffs.
