Creative Independence
Rachel Knuston Kobold is no stranger to working hard for what she wants.
The desire to succeed has helped Rachel become the determined leader she is today. As Lead Graphic Designer in her Senior Capstone class, Rachel attributes her independence and drive to her mom.
"While we always had a roof over our heads and food on the table, my siblings and I had to work for the things we wanted. Having to work in high school to pay for things such as my car insurance and basketball gear, caused me to be independent and determined to succeed." says Rachel.
When she isn't in class, Rachel is busy strengthening her design skills as the Briar Cliff University marketing and graphic design intern, Social Media Ambassador Coordinator, Digital Communications Department Social Media Manager and Student Design Editor for The Briar Cliff Review, a national art and literary magazine.
Rachel dreams of opening her own graphic design or marketing business while working alongside a talented communication team somewhere in the Midwest.
"I'm feeling confident in my future! The skills I've learned by working hard in my classes and internship have given me a fantastic foundation to learn and become a leader in the creative field," she says.
