Waiving ACT/SAT Scores

October 13, 2020

Briar Cliff University will continue to waive ACT/SAT scores for high school seniors to help ease concerns for students caused by COVID-19.

“The added stress and concern surrounding the pandemic continues to impact students around the world,” says Matt Thomsen, Vice President of Enrollment Management at Briar Cliff University. “We want to help these students and continue to encourage them to chase their dreams. Briar Cliff is here to help them throughout that process.”

The University continues to adjust admissions qualifications and operations to meet the demand of the market and the student’s needs.

“While academic performance is one qualification, we also want to get to know our students personally. We will look at opportunities to determine whether Briar Cliff is the best fit for their interests and their goals. Together, we hope to help navigate their next steps – and to hopefully welcome them as a future Charger,” adds Thomsen.

Briar Cliff is now offering personalized on-campus visits, by appointment and with appropriate health safety precautions. Additionally, students can continue to connect virtually, with live, real-time visits. The scholarship awarded for any visit has been raised to $2,000 per undergraduate, full-time student.
