Student Government Announces Executive Board

August 25, 2021

Briar Cliff Student Government (BCSG) has announced its Executive Board. Senior Richard (R.J.) Harris was elected president in the spring 2021 semester.

“One of the biggest blessings about Briar Cliff is the people here and the connections a person can create,” Harris says. “A goal I have as president is to grow our student senate and to add diversity to our senators from all majors, sports, cities, countries and cultures.”

With COVID-19 interrupting Harris’ past 3 semesters, BCSG plans to bring back some sense of normalcy to campus with activities for the entire student body.

Joining him on the Executive Board: Vice President, Mya Hendry; Treasurer, Jeremiah Glise; Secretary, Kennedy Andersen; and Marketing, CaRon Watson.

“Our Executive Board plans to bring excitement to campus with more student events and activities as well as give more developmental opportunities for students through events like leadership summits.”

Briar Cliff Student Government is the voice of the student body. Their major function is to represent the line of communication between students, faculty, and administration.
