BIOL 420 - Cell and Molecular Biology

Through lecture and laboratory activities this course investigates the structure and function of all major eukaryotic organelles and the techniques used in cell biology. Topics covered include the principles of membrane structure, membrane transport, intracellular communication, signal transduction, cellular communities, and cancer. Students attend lectures plus one 3-hour laboratory (BIOL 420L) 

Prerequisite:  BIOL 151, plus 8 hours of chemistry
