Sisters of St. Francis Prayer Garden
Adjacent to the Chapel of Our Lady of Grace is a small prayer garden dedicated to the Sisters of Saint Francis. Within the prayer garden you will find a statue of Francis and Saint Anthony as well as the Sister’s Plaque, which names all 191 Sisters who have made a lasting impact on our University. The St. Francis Prayer Garden was created in October of 2016, to honor the Sisters of St Francis and their influence at Briar Cliff University. Thank you to our donors who have helped dedicate signs, benches, and flowers to our prayer garden.
Available to the Public
Our Prayer Garden is open to the public, as long as patrons stick to our standard campus rules for behavior (no drugs or alcohol). For other rules, see the Briar Cliff student handbook.

Sister's of Saint Francis
Our peaceful Prayer Garden was designed to honor the 191 members of Briar Cliff’s founding order who have served at the university. All 191 women are listed on a commemorative plaque in the garden starting with the school’s 12 foundresses to the group of sisters who still currently work and teach at the university.
