Ministry on Campus

If we had to sum ourselves up in one word? That word is "Franciscan" meaning we serve others, care for each other and creation, and we are open to all. Individuals from every faith background and belief systems are welcomed and encouraged to get involved in Campus Ministry at Briar Cliff University.

Every individual is welcomed and encouraged to attend and participate in Campus Minstry events.

Developing Deeper Faith

At Briar Cliff, we focus on the spiritual life of students and seek to integrate faith and action through a variety of events services, organizations, and volunteer opportunities. Our regular events include:

Antioch Retreat

The student-led Antioch Retreat gives students the opportunity to “unplug” from the electronic world and grow in faith with the others around them.

Freshmen Retreat

The student-led Freshman Retreat will takes place each year at the beginning of the fall semester. It's a change for all first-year students to gather together to meet new friends, build community, and hear from upperclassmen about their experiences of living out their faith in college.

Annual Busy Person’s Retreat

The Busy Person’s Retreat is open to all students and is a time for you to grow in your relationship with God through prayer, reading scripture and sharing with a “spiritual guide”. You continue to attend classes and go about your schedule as usual while also setting aside some time out of each day for reflection and prayer.

Joining the Catholic Church | RCIA

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) group meets weekly for those who are seeking to become Catholic or for Catholics who have not yet received the Sacrament of Confirmation.

Contact us for more information on becoming a RCIA candidate at Briar Cliff or complete this form.

Weekly Bible Study

Bible study is the study of the Bible by ordinary people as a personal religious or spiritual practice. Every week Chargers are invited to devote time to gather together to read, study, process, and discuss scripture to develop a better understand the word of God.

Check the campus calendar for more information where and when.
