SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Two-hundred and sixty Siouxland high school students are eagerly preparing for All-State Choir Auditions in October.

The Brian Cliff University Music Department held a Pre All-State Choral Music Camp for these students.

The camp lasted three days, and gave students a chance to prepare the songs for All-State auditions ahead of time. This was the 27th year for the camp.

Griffin Jenkins, Senior at West High School in Sioux City, said the camp is a lot of hard work and preparation, but it's an experience he treasures.

"At West we only get 40 kids within each choir, so having 260 kids is amazing to me. So the experience you have with sectionals and getting to now everybody is just really cool," said Jenkins, a senior at West High School.

The All-State campers performed Wednesday at the Grandview Park Bandshell in Sioux City.
