BCU Announces New Vice President for Student Development
SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Briar Cliff University is pleased to announce Louise Paskey as vice president for Student Development. In her role at BCU, Paskey will be responsible for residence life, career development, counseling and health services, security, campus life, campus ministry, student leadership and Charger athletics.
“I am thrilled to be part of the Briar Cliff community,” Paskey said. “It is my goal to further enhance the success of Briar Cliff students by creating, in partnership with faculty and staff, meaningful opportunities that engage all students so they are able to meet their potential and serve as leaders of a just and compassionate world.”
Paskey brings 21 years of experience to Briar Cliff, most recently from Carthage College in Kenosha, Wis., where she was responsible for student affairs. Previously, she served as associate dean of students and assistant dean for student life at Edgewood College in Madison, Wis. She holds a Master of Science from Indiana University-Bloomington, where she majored in education, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point, where she majored in communication.

Wharton, BCU president. “Her expertise in student life and leadership, strategic planning, multicultural and outreach programs will greatly contribute to the vibrant culture of service and caring that is valued component of the Briar Cliff experience.”
Briar Cliff University is a Catholic institution with an enrollment of more than 1,100 students from 31 states and 11 countries. Students are educated in the Franciscan tradition of excellence in the liberal arts and career preparation in an environment of care, compassion and service.
