MEN'S HOOPS: Dakota Wesleyan hands The Cliff third straight loss

By BCU Sports Information

The Tigers were in pursuit of clenching a GPAC tournament bid and getting past the Chargers was the only way they could garner a spot in the top eight. Dakota Wesleyan clenched a tournament berth by defeating the Cliff, 81-75, in Mitchell, S.D. Jake Shipley had a big night for the Blue and Gold with 27 points, trailed by Taylor Murren's 19 points, while Zach Otting tossed-in 10 of his own.

The loss puts the Chargers at 19-11 (10-10) at the close of regular season play. The Chargers are positioned as the No. 7 seed in the GPAC tournament and will face-off against Dordt, on Wednesday, Feb. 20, in Sioux Center, Iowa. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
