MEN'S HOOPS: Chilly second half spoils Briar Cliff's Senior Day

It was a tale of two halves as the Chargers were outscored by 15 in the second half after taking a 41-36 lead into the locker room against crosstown rival Morningside. After shooting 48.4 percent in the first half, including 58.3 percent from 3-point land, Briar Cliff cooled off to 31.0 percent from the field and 23.5 percent from downtown. The 76-66 loss snapped the Chargers' three-game winning streak.

Morningside improved to 14-14 (9-9) with the win, while Briar Cliff slipped to 19-9 (10-8). The Cliff will travel to Fremont, Neb., Wednesday, to face Midland. Game time is scheduled for 8 p.m.
