WOMEN'S HOOPS: Murren burns No. 4 Bulldogs, Chargers win 4th straight
Mattie Murren carried the ninth-ranked Chargers to an 88-80 road victory over NAIA No. 4 Concordia as she scored a career-high 29 points. Murren was 9-for-13 from the field, including 7-for-9 from 3-point land. Her seven 3-pointers ied her own school record, which she shares with former BC All-American Meg Wilson.
The win propelled the Chargers to 22-5 overall and into a second place tie in the GPAC standings (13-4) with the Bulldogs of Concordia. Concordia is now 21-5 overall and 13-4 in league play. Briar Cliff will be in action again, Saturday, against NAIA No. 6 Morningside. Tip-off at the Newman Flanagan Center is scheduled for 2 p.m.
