I have been at Briar Cliff since 1975. In addition to teaching and advising, I have served as chair of the following: the faculty group (twice); the department of math/computer science (several 3-year rotations); the executive council in the school of graduate and continuing studies (twice); Briar Cliff's master plan committee; and several years as director of the computer center and administrative programmer. I have served as chair of the following faculty committees: benefits (several times); curriculum; academic policies; and faculty development. I also served on several faculty and university-wide committees such as faculty promotion and tenure, faculty handbook, and the finance and business council.
I am honored to have been recognized with the prestigious Paul & Frances Duff Pursuit of Excellence Award and the Distinguished Faculty Scholar Award.
I have also assisted several community organizations with data analysis such as the Sioux City Community School District (Facilities Review Enrollment Committee), State of Iowa Department of Human Services, and Sioux City Human Rights Commission.
