I consider myself a teacher at heart focusing on what’s in the best interest of the learner. Whether making instructional decisions, program changes or advising students I believe in the power of relationships.

As a democratic instructor, I facilitate student learning through discovery and discussion of authentic and relevant issues. To me, teachers in the 21st Century must be leaders for the profession and advocates for their learners: able to apply theory to practice, set goals, create an action plan, study data, and reflect on results.
