No single institution can solve the health care dilemma on its own. Therefore, the Center for Health Care Initiative’s overarching strategy is one of community-based collaboration and service, involving local hospitals and clinics, pharmaceutical and medical supply companies, and eager students studying the health sciences.

Briar Cliff nursing students and faculty assist with the annual Diabetes Wellness Fair, sponsored by Family Health Care of Siouxland.

NE Nebraska Community Action

Northeast Nebraska Community Action Partnership

Pier Center for Autism

Pier Center for Autism
The Pier Center for Autism is a Sioux City organization that provides compassionate services for individuals with autism spectrum disorders.

Siouxland District Health

Siouxland District Health Department
The CHCI is partnering with the District Health Department to provide a nutritional curriculum for Sioux City's Beyond the Bell programs. The department's STD clinic is also expanding its office hours with the help of our nurse practitioner students. 

St. Luke's

St. Luke's College / UnityPoint Health
Briar Cliff and St. Luke's have a cooperative program providing students with the opportunity to obtain a degree in radiologic technology.

Convoy of Hope

Sioux City Convoy of Hope
Convoy of Hope is a faith-based organization with a driving passion to feed the world through children's feeding initiatives, community outreach, disaster response, and partner resourcing.

Siouxland Center for Active Generations
Briar Cliff nursing and HPER students help provide health screenings to elderly clients at Siouxland's senior center.
