Attend the annual WINGS (Young Women Investaging Science & Mathematics) conference, designed to help young Siouxland women to focus on nontraditional careers in mathematics, sciences and technology.

This year's keynote speaker is Dr. Kathleen LaFavor, D.O., from Siouxland Women's Health Care in Sioux City. LaFavor earned her underraduate degree at Briar Cliff, then graduated from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Creighton University Medical Center.

Founded in 1990 by Michelle Nemmers, then an associate professor of mathematics at Briar Cliff, WINGS invites eighth grade girls from public and parochial schools within a 30-mile radius to participate in the annual one-day conference.
